About Us

Founded in 1989 CASA (Canadian Association of Smallmouth Anglers) is Nova Scotia’s longest operating fishing association. At CASA we promote conservation and smallmouth bass fishing as fun for the whole family.  Each year we host five smallmouth bass tournaments between the Months of May and October. The lakes that we fish are Mic Mac / Banook Lake, Grand Lake, Shortts Lake (twice) and Morris Lake.

Committee Work

CASA has representatives that sit on three Department of Fisheries Provincial committees. They are Inland Fisheries Advisory Committee (IFAC), the Sportfish Habitat Fund Committee, and the Aquatic Invasive Species Working Group
